Bearfoot Masters take on the classic painting The Child's Bath by Mary Cassatt
CHILD'S BATH. Mary Cassatt. Suzette, perhaps from having a little of the french about her, suggested herself as the nursemaid and her nephew, Rory, as the child to be cleaned, in this gentle domestic Impression. I believe she lived to regret it , for no sooner was Rory liberated from his clothes than he hit the water running and the water, naturally, took the opportunity to hit everyone and everything else. With the third bowlful Suzette managed to hold him tight enough with the towel to get the shot but the poor girl had to come back again on a different day for her own pose. Drowned rat seems to pretty much cover it. P.M.
